Hello,
Thank you very much for your feedback and as a consequence of that I have
managed to track down a couple of problems, and updated the following
files:
rmf.fits
ARF_onaxis.fits
bkgr_FITSversion.tar
Some people reported strange structures in the RMF around 27-40 keV,
which were indeed artifacts produced by the interpolation. This has been fixed
now. The ARF has been updated to include the effects of an aperture as well as
a correction of a small attenuation error. The bkgr files have also been
updated due to a small correction factor, and the txt versions have had their
header updated with better explanations. Another change is to the background
fits files, which now only have one back scaling factor which converts from
counts/cm2 to counts/arcmin2. The bkg_readme.txt explains this in more
detail.
Let me know if you have any problems or notice something odd.
