Subject: Re: JEM-X SVR 5.0 Dear Niels Joergen -- I've been re-doing the spectrum and pulse profile of EXO 2030+375 for the SVR report using the OSA 5.0 release. I have obtained them using the default parameters of jemx_science_analysis, what means that j_ima_iros has look for the source in the following four bands: 46-82, 83-128, 129-159 and 160-223. The source is found with a significance of: 8.98, 14.84, 11.90 and 5.42. And the fluxes in the four bands are: 1.02 +- 0.03, 1.41 +-0.05, 1.12 +- 0.04 and 1.10 +-0.03 cts/cm2s. (In the log file the flux units appear as cts/dm2s, I suppose this is a mistake). As you will see the spectrum (EXO2030_spe.ps) shows a similar shape to the old one. However, I can not reproduce the same pulse profile than before. The procedure to obtain this profile has been the same than before, using "efsearch" to look for the best period (41.6+-0.1 s) and "efold" to fold the light curve and the bin length is also 1.3 s. However this profile shows a slightly different shape with a higher intensity in the maximum than the old one. May be the correct profile is this one and not the old one, who knows. Also I have found that using the OSA 5.0 the found count rates by the spectral and light curve software are slightly different and of course completely different to the one found by j_ima_iros. The spectral count rate is 6.3 +/- 0.3 cts/s and the light curve one is 7.1 +/- 0.3 cts/s in the 5 to 25 keV band. If you need something else, please let me know.
