Subject: SDAST meeting Dear SDASTers, it was good to see all of you at the meeting. Just to prove that I was listening to, if not watching, the proceedings, here's a little summary of the things I understood I should do in the next few months. Asterisks indicate a direct connection with OSA 6.1, otherwise list is in no particular order: 1) Organize my visit to ISDC in May 2) ADD: add the figure showing data flow with and without IC gain history tables and write a piece on the creation and use of IC tables. 3)* Update j_dead_time_calc to include: - New columns LIVETIME and DEADC according to the OGIP standard - Correct DEAD_EFF calculation - Add SB's more sophisticated grey filter/double trigger calculation to the deadtimes including DEAD_EFF - Extend all deadtime calculations involving grey filter to the best time resolution available using JMXi-INST-STA 4)* Write the SCREW(s) related to 3) 5)* Update j_cor_position: - talk to NL about improved hotspot flagging - Improve hotspot flagging (search only low energies...) - Bug fix for raw position values of 255 6) Add single segment operation to j_calib_gain_fitting and j_cor_gain 7) Look into rare strange log messages in j_calib_ADC (**small** bug) 8)* Update JMXi-DETE-MOD with all dead anodes 9) Make tools to determine spatial gain variation 10)* Update JMXi-SPAG-MOD when 9) complete 11) Continue to develop j_calib_gain_HK and add temperature dependence to j_cor_gain 12)* Deliver IC gain history tables for some revolutions that need temp. dependence included NB: I cannot garantee that all the asterisk items will be finished in the next few months, so this list gives a somewhat idealised view of what will be available for OSA6.1. IMOD and IC table delivery will probably have to wait till after the software freeze. Points 9 and 11 are obviously particularly labour intensive and may require extra time......we'll see. All comments are welcome. Extra items on the to-do list are not! Hope you all got home safely, Carol Anne DANISH NATIONAL SPACE CENTER Dr. Carol Anne Oxborrow Email: oxborrow@spacecenter.dk Homepage: http://www.spacecenter.dk/~oxborrow Telephone (direct): +45 35 32 57 33 Main teleph.: (+45) 35 32 57 00 Fax: (+45) 35 36 24 75 Main E-mail: office@spacecenter.dk A strengthened Danish National Space Center On the 1st of January 2007 the Danish National Space Center (DNSC) merged with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
