Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2006-05-29 Present: SB, CAO, JC, NL, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): JMX2 DPE has been switched off in beginning of revolution 441. Gain correction works smoothly. Sco X-1 and other high count rate data (JC): New JMXi-GOOD-LIM IC file has been updated with the tool of Reiner Rolf and delivered 2006-05-23. Web based HK overview (SB): The presention has been improved. An example of revolution 436 where the relaxation takes 12 hours together with a temperature increase (we are moving out of the eclipse season). The effect of the ion-drift in the glass (which is visible when out of the eclipse season) is not visible. The gain is a quite strong function of the temperature and the temperature sensor does not precisely follow the temperature of the glass plate. Found at http://www.spacecenter.dk/~sb/JEMX/HK.htm OSA6 status (CAO): j_calib_gain_fitting is now ready for delivery, perhaps tomorrow. Strong greyfiltering condition seems to lead to increased noise contamination in one of the calibration sources (#4 on JMX1, the weakest one). OSA6 status (NL, NJW): j_src_properties. j_pif2events subroutine has been made but PIF values are not correct yet - could be a normalization error. A PIF-map is generated for each of the 256 PI energy values. First a geometrical PIF is constructed, then the energy dependence and penetration into gas effects are added. This is given for each source position. There is a weight factor assigned to each pixel depending on the contributions from other sources besides the background. ATEL #817 with refined position of IGR J08408-4503 has been issued. An improved position from SWIFT has further narrowed the position to about 5 arcsec. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
