Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2006-04-24 Present: NL, CAO, CBJ, SB, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): Nominal, no hot spot. TM allocations in the future (NL): The increased background rate causes problems for SPI and IBIS, so they want to take over the single HK packet from the dormant JEM-X instrument. Thus the DFEE of that instrument will be switched off. We are not sure of the consequenses for the temperature, but the effect is probably very minor, since the DFEE is separated from the detector itself. Other non-JEM-X changes: SPI will reduce its timing precision. Short science windows are to be avoided. PICsIT TM during slews to be skipped and other internal shifting around. SPIE workshops (CBJ): NJW input on sensitivity. NL input on general status. NL sky image of galactic center. Deadline: upload 28/4. Moscow workshop (NL): NB Hotel reservations. NL paper accepted, catalog poster accepted. /NJW ---------- Niels J. Westergaard Danish National Space Center Juliane Maries Vej 30, DK 2100 Copenhagen O Phone: +45 35325705; FAX: +45 35362475
