Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2006-03-21 Present: NL, CAO, JC, CBJ, NJW. JEM-X status (CBJ): Sco X-1 has been in the FOV a number of times. No hotspot seen. (JC): Anode at RAWX = 54 has lower countrate at 2006-03-10. Anode at RAWX around 52 shows higher countrate than usually over 4 - 5 days following that date. ISWT meeting (NL): Peter Kretschmar becomes Operations Manager (at ESAC) which probably means less time for JEM-X work. How to prolong INTEGRAL after 2010? The TM rate is now becoming a more serious problem because the background rate has increased. SPI risks to lose data because they are close to the ceiling. IBIS can reduce their need somewhat. Meeting 2006-04-12 in Rome to discuss the situation. The JEM-X telemetry rate is almost unchanged since the particle rejection works well. ISGRI and SPI DXB spectra derived from Earth observations agree pretty well. The advantage of using 2.17 deg as spacing in the dither pattern (5x5) (2.0 deg is kept for hexagonal pattern) has not been verified yet - need more data. Moscow conference: No oral instrument presentations but posters. INTEGRAL workshop 2008 in Denmark (NL): Three days in stead of an entire week. Select a few main topics (other topics by review papers). AO4 proposals (NL): Proposals for data from key projects such as the observation of the galactic center. Key programmes for AO5 will be selected just after summer in order to pave the way for detailed proposals inside the key programmes. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
