Subject: JEMX Monday Meeting 2005-12-19 JEMX Monday meeting 2005-12-19 Present SB, JC, CBJ, CAO, NJW Status of JEMX: Nothing unusual - quiet. J_ima_mosaic work: JC is checking the code, NJW is testing some simple examples. The other programs 'remap' and 'varmosaic' must also be tested. Recent SDAST meeting: Reminder on updates for various documentation and continued investigations. Coordination meeting 2005-12-15 at ESAC (SB): The INTEGRAL workshop July 2006 will be held in Moscow in stead of Saint Petersburg, allegedly same dates as before. Main subject: Earth Occultation observation. CXB badly determined in the 20-100 keV energy band (old HEAO data). The effective observation time will be 8 hours. The startrackers must be disabled - at least the control loop. This will be carried out in revolution 401 (slew to Earth position in the end of revolution 400) followed by revol. 404(?) and later. Spaceweather forecasts must be listened to since high or variable background is destructive for this observation. It is also a complication that JMX2 is to be used. The SPI annealing revols. 396-399 makes it possible to allocate TM to JEMX, but this is not possible in revol. 400. A JEMX instrument team member should be present and available during this observation. A possibility is to monitor the JEMX behaviour at the instrument station at ISDC. Another possibility is to run the instrument station on a laptop placed at MOC. SB announced to the meeting that we will request more HV levels for the next Crab calibration observation. The use of the TEST format is more or less accepted by MOC to be included in their system. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
