JEM-X MONDAY MEETING #73: 10/10-2005 SUMMARY; Instrument status: Big hotspot is still visible, and so is its little companion (see CAO's email about improved hotspot extraction) Crab calibration is tonight CBJ, Using neural network for position determination: For rev. 363 Carl has made pllots of ra-dev and dec-dev against sigma for sources found with his program. HUNN is feeding these results into a neural network to try to understand remaining systematics. For strongest sources can get down to 4 arc seconds of scatter. SB, X-ary transient: Type-I burst from XTE J1739-286, last seen a year ago, and now seen again this September. Gain Correction: SB has circulated a note about the requirements of a gain correction and verification module, which everyone should read. AOB: JC reports that people in Orsay have complained that JEM-X data can't be analysed with OSA 5.0, so they're using OSA4.2. JC thinks this may be due to response matrices not yet updated at ISDC. [It turned out to be an installation problem at Orsay.]
