Subject: JEMX Monday Meeting - just for the record 2005-10-03 Present: SB, JC, NL, CAO, CBJ, ILR, NJW Status for JEM-X instruments (NL): The hotspot has increased to 4 cts/s on average in revol 362 We will follow it to see if a better rejection should be investigated. Check parameters for j_cor_position to see if threshold for rejection can be optimized. The test of the setting must be done on data from revol 362, but data in category 'survey' exist. Next Crab calibration (NL): Our wishes are built into the present observation plan to be carried out in revolution 365. 15+15 TM packets will be available in the JEM-X pointing period. The 'TEST' format will also be tested. OMC flatfield (later): 7 HV settings for JMX1. For JMX2 the 22 keV will be brought into the PHA range where the 6 keV usually is found. We expect to get a much improved uderstanding of the behaviour near the electronic lower threshold. Status for software and parameter update (NL): Recapitulation of spectral sensitivity investigations (submeeting at 11:00 Tuesday). SDAST meeting action: How can we get the background spectrum displayed at ISDC under OSM in a standard way. The other action is how to make the production of an approved gain history table. First we should specify our concrete requirements for such a file (or system). SB will start this process. BPL update for JMX2 and new positions from j_ima_iros (NL & NJW): The new parameter set gives better agreement between positions from SRCL-RES and peak Gauss fitting and better agreement between found position and catalog position for the Crab in revolution 239. This will continue for JMX1. GX 3+1 work (JC): Curve with luminosity, temperature and apparent radius as functions of time was presented. ISDC consortium meeting (NL): A lot of thinking on what to do in ISDC after INTEGRAL. Our main interest is Planck on the software side. For XEUS we are mostly hardware involved. NL and NJW will go there. /NJW ---------- Niels J. Westergaard Danish National Space Center Juliane Maries Vej 30, DK 2100 Copenhagen O Phone: +45 35325705; FAX: +45 35362475
