Subject: JEMX Monday Meeting 2005-04-11 Present: CBJ, JC, SB, NL, ILR, NJW Status for JEM-X: Normal, except that the gain of JMX1 has increased so much that stepping down in HV is required. NL will initiate the process. Previous downstepping of HV in revol. 198, 245, and 268. TM problems end of revol. 302 and/or begin of revol. 303. Data gaps found in NRT data (IPF files). NL/SB: Should we request a change of switch-on for HV in the beginning of a new revolution? The gain overshoot is no longer existing and data quality might improve in the initial phase. The procedure for turning on after a short drop-out in the middle of a revolution should not be altered. This has to be coordinated with CAO to make sure that the gain correction can handle such a new situation. OSA5 deliveries: j_ima_iros-1.1.4 has been delivered with reduced efficiency of the clean function because otherwise an 'Arithmetic exception' breaks the execution. j_ima_mosaic_5.0 has been delivered. There is still a known issue that the basic_recon vignetting correction must be updated when correction has not been done for the input images. j_src_spectra and j_src_lc Status is not really known but we believe that they are about to be ready for delivery. j_ima_iros images: NL: A test has been performed by taking a found source and the associated PIF, applying the backproject on that and check whether the original source and the reproduced source match in position. There is agreement to better than 0.2-0.3 pixel (better in central part of the image). Could it be expected to be better? The question of the flux and light-curve extraction is investigated by backprojecting a "unity" shadowgram i.e. with "1" in all pixels with radius < 120 mm. This shows some unexpected wiggles in the resulting image. Can they be due to the interaction between the mask and collimator? Future meetings: Danish Physical Society annual meeting end of May. Some of us should go. ESTEC Cosmic Vision Meeting. SB will go there. INTEGRAL coordination meeting. Beginning of June, 2005, in Copenhagen. Do we have contribution to the agenda? Perhaps the changed procedure for HV-on should be discussed here. NOB /NJW ---------- Niels J.
