Subject: JEMX Monday Meeting 2005-02-28 Present: CAO, NL, JC, CBJ, SB, NJW JEM-X status: As usual. Burst localized from REV 289 NB: Check IBAS alerts. We seem not to get what we should have got. IPF data is missing ~a day of data due to disk overrun. The disk has now been emptied up to Feb. 1, 2005 (we have a backup at DNSC). OSA5: j_ima_mosaic is now running both on j_ima_iros images and j_ima_basic_recon images. NL showed example around galactic center (REV 60) with a couple more sources in iros result. j_ima_iros. A bug has been fixed and it now runs through all test cases. Seems mature for a first delivery to ISDC even though some issue on keywords and flux normalization are still to be solved. SB has been looking into programming by ds9 and confirmed that the source flux is proportional to the integrated peak ('volume' of peak). At large off-axis angles there are some discrepancies that can be attributed to imperfect collimator modelling and/or radius limit on the detector. SB has used the HK count rates as reference. Misalignment matrix: CAO has collected a large number of SWIDs for JMX1 and JMX2. The JMX1 case has been run with old matrix (for reference purpose) and unity matrix. The JMX2 case will be ready very soon. The misalignment correction is intrinsic to j_ima_iros and it will stay that way for the time being. First it will cause trouble changing that and secondly we may end up in a situation where different misalignment matrices are required for j_ima_basic_recon and j_ima_iros. Analysis results: CBJ has introduced the dead anodes in the imaging software and seen no effect of this on the conclusions for the collimator tilt. V 0332 has faded a lot. SGR results from REV 225. SB has looked at the possibilities for deriving the fluence by the buffer loss information. That is not possible, so we need the software patch for that. SDAST meeting 14-15 March, 2005: NL, SB, CAO, and NJW will participate from DNSC. CBJ checks to see if there is a conflict with another meeting. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
