Subject: JEMX Monday Meeting 2004-12-07 Present: CAO, JC, CBJ, NL, ILR, NJW Status for JEMX: Due to the VC exercise the anode activity plot shows unusually high activity for the anodes through the calibration sources since the data from these have been included in the science data (normally they are transmitted in the HK data). VC exercise: Voltage levels: 1120, 640, 800, 960, 1280, and 1120 V applied to the cathodes. First impression is that the gain varies little so the (cautious) conclusion is that the detector gas is OK. X-ray transient: The 600 Hz pulsating transient IGR J00291+5934 will be difficult to analyze wrt. pulse analysis due to low intensity and short period with JEMX data. Gain fitting during Crab calibrations: CAO: Rev. 239 shows some bad gain fitting periods due to interruptions and change of anode voltage.( See email from CAO, 2004-12-07 "BTI and bad SCWs") Other Crab calibration periods seem to be fitted well. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
