Subject: JEMX Monday Meeting 2004-10-25 Present: SB, CAO, NL, JC, ILR, NJW Status for JEMX: SB: JMX1 gain evolution is increase of 1% in 8.6 days. Nominal HV decreased with one step around Rev. 245 (CAO will update page with changes in beginning of November). A web page for JEMX status: During the latest chat Peter Kretschmar suggested the JEMX team to make and maintain a web page with current status of the instrument(s), mainly for the operators now that the presence of JEMX team in ISDC will be reduced. SB was appointed as responsible and the content will be: Anodestatus (map or other graphical representation) List of sources known to cause high variability Telephone numbers Later other information can be added as the need arises. Disk situation: The large disk with JEMX and other INTEGRAL data is running full. Eventually we will only keep a copy of the revision 2 consolidated data. We will continue to download NRT data for quick analysis but remove them when rev_2 data are available. The internal disk of lin6 should only be used for analysis and long time storage transferred to /r6/jemx Perseus: NL: The interesting high energy features turned out to have origin in the enhanced background at the edge of the detector. The fact that this was a staring observation made this confusion possible. Another outcome of the analysis carried out is the need for a revision of the pixel redistribution (also called pixel_fold) as measured during the Ferrara campaign. AO3: A proposal is being composed. GRB meeting: SGR1806 bursts seen in JEMX on the average contain so many counts that a detailed spectral analysis is not possible but the general shape of the spectra should be obtainable. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
