Subject: Monday Meeting 2004-09-27 Participants: SB, NL, JC, CBJ, NJW JEMX status: As a preparation for the Crab calibration JMX2 DFEE has been switched on 2004-09-24. Its box temperature rose 20 deg, detector temp. rose 35 deg. It is to be noted that the detector temperature is measured very close to some electronics, hence this reading does not reflect the gas and glass plate temperatures. The temperatures have stabilized. An updated gain increase estimate now show a 1% increase in 11 days. Anode status: 20 dead anodes plus 18 bad anodes in JMX1 28 dead anodes plus 19 bad anodes in JMX2 JC's file with this information is stored in /r6/jemx/jemx_history Crab calibration: just started this Monday morning. The HV stepped down for JMX1 2004-09-26T06:36Z. The next revolution will start with HV up again, the nominal level will be changed after one or two revolutions. Data analysis: SGR1806, SB: a comparison of bursts seen in JEMX and with IBAS shows that several undetected bursts in one system can be found when searching with input from other system, which leads to the conclusion a search should be conducted in both systems. GRB 040812: We need to start writing the draft. The analysis should have emphasis on the spectral analysis - the light curve does not seem to give much. NGC1275/Perseus: A comparison with XMM shows extension in different directions. This calls for a deeper analysis. Coma: A weaker source, no fine structure found. Pulsar 4U0115+63 has been a TOO with Santangelo as PI AOB: Remember workshop in ESTEC 18-21/1 2005. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
