Subject: JEMX Monday meeting 2004-09-20 Participants: JC, SB, NL, NJW, ILR JEMX status: Gain increase braked. Sco X-1 pointing caused trouble again. Should we increase limit of software trigger rate for instrument switch-off to 32000/8s ? SB has measured the rejection to remove about 7% of the X-ray events. Improved response to very intense and very short bursts. SB and ILR have come up with a scheme that should be possible. It is to be tested on FM1 in the laboratory and also discussed at the ISWT meeting. Data analysis: SN1006, new clean methods work better. Still no source visible above 14 keV. Perseus with NGC1275 shows interesting features. SWT meeting: ISGRI wants to increase the distance between the dither points. Between consequtive dither cycles the position angle as well as the position of the central point will vary. Chris Winkler has opened the issue of where to invest the core program time not used for TOO observation (missing triggers). Data Analysis Workshop: SB, NL, and NJW will go there. Stefan Larsson will also be there to present the spectral analysis algorithms. /NJW ---------- Niels J.
