Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2007-12-03 Date: Mon, 3 Dec 2007 13:41:43 +0100 (MET) Participants: NL, SB, CAO, CBJ, JC, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): Nothing to report. SDAST meeting (ALL): Action on Crab calibration, see below. Other actions will be written into the general list by CAO. j_ima_iros (NL): Looked back into the old reports from ALENIA's delivery of the collimators. There is some differences in the sizes of the collimator holes implying that the sharp changes in throughput are - on the average - softened. Crab calibration and normalization (SB, NJW): SPI and ISGRI will make a report for IUG some time in January 2008. We should also put such a report together at the best of our current knowledge. Here is again a question of the detailed collimator shape. One idea is to avoid bad areas on the detector and possibly also, regions affected by the collimator, at least in one direction. This might leave too little area for on-axis Crab illumination, but it should be tried. /NJW
