Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2007-11-26 Date: Mon, 26 Nov 2007 14:24:36 +0100 (MET) Participants: NL, SB, CBJ, JC, CAO, NJW. JEM-X status (SB, CBJ): Relatively high background activity. Check up on space weather conditions. Do we point with sun-angle less than 90 degrees? Probably not - only a little since the North Ecliptic Pole region has been the target in the last few days. JEM-X OSA status (NL): j_ima_iros for OSA7.05 (i.e. an intermediate version to have a test version before OSA7.1) is now ready for testing. The IMOD instances have been made as well as the BPL (jmxi_bpl_grp_0007.fits). The upper threshold of PHA (really 'slow' signal) will also be reported in IMOD. The correction for electronic efficiency will be introduced in j_ima_iros for OSA7.1. Spatial gain map (SB): Can we update our local JEMX archive with the current corrections? The present adhoc fix producing jmxi_full_cor.fits files is not completely satisfactory. There is also an issue about the time correlations. Is there a rerun of the archive coming in the near future? The spatial gain map can be updated to yield better energy corrections. This implies that the detector energy resolution at 29.6 keV can be held at 10% (in stead of 13% with the current SPAG for revols. 360-460). /NJW
