Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2007-11-12 Date: Mon, 12 Nov 2007 14:12:27 +0100 (MET) Participants: CBJ, NL, CAO, SB, JC, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): No special remarks. HV reduction will happen in revolution 622. New SPAG table preparations (SB): Attempt to collect background spectra from a VERY large dataset. The best correction is required so OSA7 jmxi_full_cor.fits files are produced for all data in our local archive (NJW). The Mo line at 17 keV becomes very conspicuous. The Ni line from welding spots is also visible. Coordination meeting (SB): Took place at MOC with many participants. The Solar background is still increasing which may cause problems for SPI. Data compression and better use of telemetry may be considered, but only if the soon to be expected drop in the particle background is considerably delayed. Safety procedures is the salient point in the unification of the INTEGRAL/XMM operations. Particularly the SPI cooler must be handled correctly. OSA status (NL, NJW): An intermediate version of j_ima_iros will be issued shortly. Data correction (CAO): Introduce temperature dependence in the gain correction and a new SPAG table - in coordination with SB. This may take a couple of months, though. /NJW
