Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2007-10-11 Date: Thu, 11 Oct 2007 11:45:57 +0200 (MEST) Participants: SB, NL, CBJ, JC, CAO, NJW. INTEGRAL status (SB): It was noted with pleasure that the AWG has recommended a prolongation of INTEGRAL until at least 2012. SPC will make a decision at the end of November 2007. JEM-X status (SB): Nothing much to say. JMX2 was active during the Crab calibration and behaved as expected. No hotspot activity. Crab calibration (SB, CBJ, CAO): The analysis at ISDC showed too low count rate for JMX2 during the Crab staring observations. This was, however, due to heavy greyfiltering and consequently bad gain determination. A new IC gain history table with better gain correction is being made by CAO. A new IC IMOD epoch is necessary for JMX2 with new energy reference channels to bring the Xe line back to 29.6 keV is required. The JMX2 spectrum of the Crab on-axis derived by CBJ has the usual slope, but the intensity is perhaps 10% higher than the reference spectrum obtained a long time ago. It has been noticed that the 'on-axis' position for JEM-X is 0.5 arcmin away from the IBIS 'on-axis' position. Coordination meeting (SB): We should follow up on the results for the absolute calibration of the Crab spectrum. We also need a presentation on the OSA7 improvements. OSA status and testing (NL, JC): An error in j_ima_iros in the coordinate system rotation has been revealed and now there is a better consistency between JMX1 and JMX2. A better determination of the parameters is underway and will probably be ready by the coordination meeting. These parameters influence both the flux determination and the position determination so these must be considered simultaneously. JC has noticed that the OBS_RES data structure does not contain the new columns for JMXi-SRCL-RES. We must make an SPR for this. There are other small things that must be corrected. We must start planning OSA7.1. /NJW
