Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2007-09-10 Date: Mon, 10 Sep 2007 14:21:09 +0200 (MEST) Participants: SB, NL, JC, CBJ, CAO, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): The recent two revolutions have been peaceful. A little hotspot activity. Anode status (JC): No news. Loss rate about one per two months. Upcoming Crab calibration (SB): Our proposal to use 10 ks onaxis has been accepted. Total 135 ks in 5x5 dither. We will not press for the small shift in origin of the dither pattern. JMX2 will be activated. Xe line fits (CAO): The position of the Xe line energy is quite stable but there seems to be a small rise from 29.6 kev towards 30.0 keV for the latest revolutions. Perhaps the compensation (smoothing) for the glitches is a bit exaggerated. The line position of the FRSS calibration sources have changed relative to each other but mostly in the first two years of the mission. Now that they have smaller intensity the line positions are more stable. The energy resolution as measured by the FRSS calibration lines has not deteriorated much in the lifetime. For FRSS#4 in JMX1 an anode change of status (RAWX 103) occurred at IJD=2633.6 (2007-03-18T14:22 UTC). OSA status (NL, NJW): Decision to keep j_ima_iros-2.1.0 in OSA7. However, an update of 'Known Issues' is required. For example is the flux determination not good enough and can probably better be done from the images with mosaic_spec. Update of JEM-X Analysis User Manual will soon be finished. Contributions to the ADD have been delivered to JC. /NJW
