Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2007-09-04 Date: Tue, 4 Sep 2007 16:05:54 +0200 (MEST) Participants: SB, NL, CAO, JC, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): OEMs from Common Services Software (used in the DPE) have turned up. MOC conferred with the ISDC operators where the display looked normal. No problem spotted in the IPF files from the instrument station. The situation does not demand any interaction and seems to have dissolved itself. The hotspot activity is at a very low level. Crab calibration (SB): Affirmative reply from Peter Kretschmar on 10 ks staring. IBIS prefers repeating previous calibration pattern in detail. Instrument Station status (SB): The second pc at ISDC cannot start. Should we switch it with another machine? A laptop with XP could be a good choice to bring to ISDC at the next occasion. OSA status (NL, NJW, JC): JC has made a comparison between radius selection 105 and 125 mm. This was with an on-axis Crab observation. We should also try with a 4 deg off-axis situation. The 105 mm case gives 6% higher flux normalized to 100 cm2. The applied radius limit must be introduced in the headers of the shadowgram data structures. j_ima_iros needs better positional parameters to make Crab (and other sources) position determination better. The need for j_ima_cross is still there since the j_ima_iros fluxes are not completely reliable. Calibration with help of Xe line (CAO): The line position relative to the FRSS calibration sources has stabilized over the last many revolutions. There is currently no need for update of the ratio defining keyword. /NJW
