SDAST Monday Meeting #133: 21st March 2007 Instrument Status: No particular news. Rev.54 JEM-X2 reactivated in preparation for Crab Calibration. No hotspots. Interesting gain stablization of JEM-X2 where initially positive and negative gain decays cancel out. Crab Calibration: SB looked at grey filter values and calculated Crab flux and results look good. Also SB seen clear negative linear correlation between number of double triggers and Vc setting: low Vc gives high double trigger rate. 5 mu sec. deadtime has to be added for each double trigger. Strong variation in double trigger rate with changing which anode segments are active. Highest rate with all segments active, lowest with only one active segment. Lower detector area gives lower probablity of seeing complete particle track. SDAST meeting: Install "pdf" as printer to get .ppt presentations into document format. Official documents to be archived in cDMS should be in pdf format. ISWT: Wed/Thurs next week. Subjects to be discussed: SPI radiation environment; INTEGRAL workshop #7; Dead anodes; Extremely bright transients (PK), off-axis pointings, anode segment deactivation, trigger disable etc; preparations for Mission Extended Operations Review (MEOR). Science Results: JC finished mixed burning paper, delivered to A and A. JC also seen burst from GRS1741.2853, close to galactic centre. However, this burst contaminated light curve of neighbouring source 1A 1742-289. In image can clearly see only one of the sources flares up, but OSA source extraction (SL's software) can't distinguish between the two. CAO 16/4/2007
