SDAST Monday Meeting #130: 26th Febuary 2007 Instrument Status: HV lowered at beginning of rev. 533 to setting 73 from 74. Otherwise all quiet. A little extra noise at beginning and end of each orbit due to earlier switch on and later switch off. No hotspot activity. Anode 138 more active than it should be, but is next to a dead anode so probably getting the neighbour's electrons. But why more active now? Flux determination (NJW): Is he counting some photons twice with his new method? Bug in the code means grey filter values can be off by +-1: see for example orbig 239 PID2. It could be just a delay in the HK data grey filter values due to the 8 sec resolution. Dead time determination: SB and NJW working on this. SB found different statistical behaviour of instrument deadtime due to double triggers. Perhaps can be smoothed out by increasing drift voltage Vc? CAO 16/4/2007
