Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2006-11-20 Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2006 11:07:26 +0100 (MET) Participants: SB, ILR, CBJ, NL, CAO, JC, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): Eclipse season will finish soon. Status is nominal. A very rapid switch-off of the DFEE has caused some start-up problems. SB will look into it. Report from ISDC (CBJ): IDL software was handed over to Stephane Paltani who will be in charge for converting to ISDC compatibility. A number of comparison cases showed that the IDL software is at least as sensitive as the ISSW (j_ima_iros). SP will continue the work and hope to have something running before Dec. 31, 2006. Shadowgram distortions (NL): By comparing expected hole positions with actual hole positions as measured in observations of a strong source close to on-axis there are some distortions that were not present during the ground calibration. The largest size of this distortion is around 1 mm. The reason for this can be the lower voltage applied now as opposed to the calibration situation in Ferrara where the gain was three times higher. New OSA6 (NL, NJW): The new deadline (Dec. 7, 2006) for OSA6 code freeze opens possibilities to deliver new versions. The BPL version with shortened collimator to increase sensitivity can be delivered before the deadline. The user can specifiy the collimator model by the choice of BPL version. The image correction parameters (power and normalization) are given as FITS keywords. Ground coordination meeting at DNSC (NL): SB and NL will participate in this meeting; CAO will take notes most of the time. Next Crab calibration will also be discussed this meeting. /NJW
