Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2006-07-17 X-Keywords: Present: NL, SB, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): High countrate in beginning of revolution for about an hour. This also triggers the grey filter action. JEM-X is switched on too early as well as the switch off at radiation belt entry. A technical note has been issued by ISOC that describes the orbit evolution vis-a-vis radiation belts and an orbit change is considered. No hotspotting. The high voltage for JMX1 will be set down by one step quite soon. OSA-6 (NL, NJW): Hopefully an informal delivery of j_src_properties this week. It is proposed that event positions are given as corrected values but randomized inside the relevant pixel (to be done in j_cor_position). It is also proposed that the energy in keV is given along with the PI value that is based on a randomization of the PHA value. When this is done in the correction step it is ensured that every following program will not have to do a randomization of its own. This is not for OSA6, however. Report from Moscow (NL, SB): Good organization and talks. Deadline for manuscripts: 2006-09-15. SGR 1806 giant flare reflection from Moon? (SB): Seen in JEM-X, but does the time delay match the geometry? Transient in revol 230? (NL): We will look for it. /NJW
