Subject: JEM-X Monday Meeting 2006-06-15 Present: SB, CAO, JC, NL, CBJ, NJW. JEM-X status (SB): Right at start-up (after perigeum exit) the hardware trigger rate is very high. An analysis of time lapse between belt exit and switch on and between switch off and belt entry. The belt nearbyness is defined by the IREM count rate (1000 cts/8min). Presumably JEM-X is switched on while still in somewhat high radiation level. (JC): The blank field shadowgram when observed in June 2006 looks different from what it previously looked like. (Seen when checking for anode status). (CAO): Large glitch in revolution 443 (June 1, 2006). Ideas for next Crab calibration (all): Should we change rejection criteria back to what they were for period before revol. 170 in order to determine the electronic efficiency by Crab measurements with decreased HV. In principle it can be done by already available data but not in a broad energy range. This applies to JMX2. Can MOC bring us back to the situation before revol. 170? Should we propose a similar exercise for JMX1 for a small number of observations + the Crab calibrations (revol. 39-45,102)? At least we should propose a nice long on-axis observation where the HV exercises can be done and the detector properties can be verified. j_src_properties (NL, NJW): The NL version can now run when the element pointer is shifted from the struct imod_rmd to a separate argument. New DNSC webpage (NL): We must produce a short text and an image (picture) for each project. A list of proposed authors has been distributed. New meeting on this Thursday next week. /NJW
