JEM-X INSTRUMENT FORUM
Welcome to the JEM-X instrument forum. You should be able to find everything
you need to answer your questions about the JEM-X instruments and the data
they produce. If you can't find what you want to know, please contact one of
the following people:
Niels Lund Principal Investigator; imaging and source extraction software
Carl Budtz-Jørgensen Instrument scientist
Søren Brandt Instrument scientist
Niels Jørgen Westergaard Head of software team; imaging software
Ib Lundgaard Rasmussen Onboard software
Carol Anne Oxborrow Instrument calibration and correction software
Jerôme Chenevez Image mosaicking software
Silvia Martìnez-Nuñez Science analysis GUI
Peter Kretschmar Data binning

Sections for Developpers, Observers and Instrument Specialists
Meetings, Agendas and Minutes
Three or four times a year the instrument and software developpers for the
JEM-X instruments meet to discuss status and improvements in the science
analysis software. If you want to know about our next face-to-face meeting
contact Niels Jørgen Westergaard
Every few weeks the Science Data Analysis Team holds a chat meeting over IRC
to discuss the status of the JEM-X science analysis software and its future
improvements. If you have questions about the software development please
contact Niels Jørgen Westergaard or
Carol Anne Oxborrow
Every Monday the instrument and software team at the Danish National Space
Center meet to discuss the status of the instrument, software, data and science
results. This page shows you the minutes from each meeting. If you still have
unanswered questions about the status of the instrument and its software you
should contact Niels Lund or
Niels Jørgen Westergaard

Instrument Calibration and Data Correction
Everyone using the JEM-X science data should be aware of the current status of
calibration and correction of data for their observations.
If you still have questions, don't hesitate to contact

This page is for hardcore instrument enthusiasts. If you want to know if the
JEM-X amplifiers are still behaving in a linear manner, this is the place to
look.
This is a page maintained by Soren Brandt, with figures of the Hardware and
Software Triggers, number of accepted events, detector temperature, detector
gain and other housekeeping data. If you're searching for a reason why your
results look strange, or just want to know how the instrument was behaving during
a certain revolution, this is the place to look.

Crab Calibration Results
Twice a year the INTEGRAL satellite calibrates its instruments by observing
the Crab Nebula. You can see the results of each individual set of observations
and comparisons between the observations here.

Lists of found sources for each GPS or GCDE revolution are listed along with
the gain calibration data
here.

This section includes scientific results published in scientific journals
and informal results produced by offline analysis by the JEM-X team. You can
find longer discussions of particular sources and techniques used via this

Much of the technical software development items that were found on the old
SDAST forum can (or will be) found here.
A quick checklist for developers to see what they need to be doing. If you
want to see how busy we've been in the past take a look at the list of
closed action items
This is the definitive document describing the instrument-specific software
developed at the Danish National Space Center and other contributing
institutions. If you want to know about the software in detail, this is the
place to begin.

This is the place to look for descriptions of the instruments and their
characteristics. Currently it is very sparsely populated, but soon more
information will be available for the truly curious.
