Subject: Change of roles at ISOC

Dear all,


triggered by Rees Williams leave and the upcoming integration
of Marion as Operations Scientist we have reassessed the
roles of the scientists and are rearranging responsibilities.

The major change is that Erik Kuulkers is taking over from me
the main responsibility as specialist for JEM-X and OMC while
the role of IBIS specialist is picked up by Guillaume Belanger.
Erik remains "backup" for IBIS, while I do the same for the
monitors. This arrangement matches better the individual
involvement of our scientists and should free me up a bit for
my management tasks.

It has not at all been an easy decision for me, withdrawing
a bit further after so many years of being closely involved.
But we have all noticed how my involvement has become less
deep and other issues kept distracting my attention more and
more since I joined ESA and especially this year. My interest
is remaining very active, though and I hope to keep contributing
to the success of the monitors in any way I can.

So please welcome Erik as the new main contact point and include
him in your mail distribution lists - without removing me, as I
remain very interested!
