Gain Notes for Revolution 610 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with okay gain fitting. However, there are strong signs that the temperature variation in the gain has not been smoothed correctly and we can expect non-random variations in the Xe position (and in the goodness of the energy calibration) across the revolution. All the data from this revolution should be useable, but with a caveat that energy calibration may be off by several percent by upto 4% The Xe analysis confirms that the energy determination for this revolution only good, to -4% to +3% of the ideal. As for all revolutions, the first few science windows should be avoided in any analysis requiring very good gain determination. Since the temperature variation of the gain has tripled since the beginning of the mission, future offline calibrations, including temperature dependency, will definitely benefit this revolution when they become available in the coming year. JEM-X2: No scientific data or gain history data for this unit. CAO 4/12/2007
