Gain Notes for Revolution 541 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with fine gain fitting. All the data from this revolution should be useable. Final confirmation of the goodness of the gain calibration must be confirmed by a Xe analysis of the entire revolution. The short break in data taking is well fitted and should have no effect on the science data. JEM-X2: This was the revolution where JEM-X2 was turned on to warm up before the next Crab calibration. Unfortunately, a telemetry problem just where the HV supply was switched off for a short period (just before IJD=2636.00) means that the last gain history points before the switch off contain useless values that have confused the gain smoothing program. Gain correcction prior to IJD=2636.00 in this revolution are very poor for the JEM-X2 unit and should not be used. A corrected gain table will be produced offline and delivered to ISDC as an Instruments Characteristics file. In future the ISDC software will automatically use this table for gain corrections.
