Gain Notes for Revolution 520 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with fine gain fitting. All the data from this revolution should be useable. However, the smoothing model is a little too stiff to accomodate the temperature changes during the revolution, and we can expect a regular deviation of the gain correction from the ideal corrections where the smoothing does not quite follow the gain history. The Xe line analysis confirms that there is a strong residual temperature signal in the Xe position for this revolution, though the energy correction is within 2-3% of the ideal for most of the revolution. Since the temperature variation of the gain has tripled since the beginning of the mission, future offline calibrations, including temperature dependency, could possibly benefit this revolution when they become available in the coming year.
