Gain Notes for Revolution 514 JEM-X1: Not quite a normal revolution though the gain fitting is fine. This is the first time a steep rise in gain has been seen after the usual settling period immediately after switch on. This is probably due to a steep rise in the instrument temperature. Since the gain fitting is mostly good, it can be assumed that the science data from this revolution is quite useable. The Xe line position is consistently too high except for the usual problem interval just after switch on. Until new calibration of the reference channels is done for this revolution, it is generally safe to assume that the gain correction is about 2% too high. JEM-X2: No scientific data or gain history for this unit. CAO 16/1/2007
