Gain Notes for Revolution 498 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with fine gain fitting. All the data from this revolution should be useable. The Xe line analysis confirms that the energy correction is good to within 3% of the ideal value. However, as usual users are warned to avoid the first few science windows in the revolution where the unit is warming up and the gain variations across the detector plate are changing quite rapidly, especially where correct gain determination is critical. Since there are quite large temperature variations during this revolution, the energy determination could probably benefit from the introduction of temperature dependence in the gain modelling later this year. JEM-X2: No scientific data or gain history for this unit. CAO 4/1/2008
