Gain Notes for Revolution 491 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with fine gain fitting. All the data from this revolution should be useable. The Xe line analysis demonstrates that the gain correction has performed well, to within about 3% of the ideal. As always it is recommended that users avoid the first few science windows for applications requiring the very best spectral/energy information since this is where the unit is settling down after the switch on. Since there seems to be a residual temperature signal in the Xe line position evolution, this revolution could benefit from the new software that will include arbitrary temperature changes in the gain smoothing procedure. JEM-X2: No scientific data or gain history for this unit. CAO 22/1/2008
