Gain Notes for Revolution 425 JEM-X1: This is a perfectly normal and well-behaved revolution. The gain fitting has performed without problems, and all the data from this revolution should be useable. The big glitch on source 1 (black/red) and the two strong glitches on source 3 (blue/green) appear to be simultaneous, but a look at the data in more detail reveals them to be quite independent of each other, though all good cases of classic glitches. Also, the source that lies between these two shows no glitch activity at this point in the revolution, so we can be certain that we have not seen the first spatially extended glitch, which would be quite a problem if it occurred. Users should be aware that as we reach the solar minimum particle activity increases, and this also increases the glitch rate on the plate. While this is easy to smooth out in the gain calibration data, it will however, lead to a decrease in energy resolution as these gain transients pop up randomly all over the microstrip plate.
