Gain Notes for Revolution 45 JEM-X1: A crab calibration revolution, broken by an unscheduled switch-off just after the full switch on. However, the gain fitting is good and all of the data from this revolution should be useable, though the usual caution should be applied when using data from periods of rapid gain change. The first seven points on each curve are the partial switch on of the high voltage supply (HV) to the plate, for which HV is set 3 steps below its nominal value to protect the instrument from intial high gain. The very strong gain decay after the instrument reactivation shows just how strong fast relaxation was in the beginning of the mission, while there is as yet absolutely no sign of slow relaxation.
