Gain Notes for Revolution 40 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution, with fine gain fitting. All of the data from this revolution should be useable. The first seven or eight points on each curve are the partial switch on of the high voltage supply (HV) to the plate, for which HV is set 3 steps below its nominal value to protect the instrument from intial high gain. The strong gain decay during the partial switch-on shows just how strong fast relaxation was in the beginning of the mission, while there is as yet absolutely no sign of slow relaxation. First few points on each curve belong to the partial switch-on for which HV is set 3 steps below its nominal value. CAO 16/10/2006
