SDAST Chat Meeting #112: Wednesday 26th April 2006 Participants: Niels Joergen Westergaard (logging), Jerome Chenevez, Stephane Paltani Subjects discussed: SDAST meeting minutes (no comments) Hardware trigger limits for bright source observations Using GTIs Determining ARFs from gain **** Logging Started : Wed Apr 26 11:16:33 MEST 2006 **** Saving Window Hej Niels Joergen! END > Hello, sorry about my forgetfulness, do you have any comments for the SDAST > meeting minutes? END Hello NJW (quite a bit more convenient in the long term, sorry!) END Hej NJW ! I'm afraid I've not read them yet ! Then, no comments until now. END > To Stephane: quite alright, although I might prefer NJ simply END No more comments from my side. END > Jérôme: do you have some experiences from ISDC that you want to share with > us at this moment ? END OK, Humm, I did read the minutes, probably got a few minor points, but I do not remember which ones... I should read again the text. I should learn to be faster at this thing too !! END Nothing special. We have discussed with Stephane about the HW limits and Sco X1 GTI limits problem, we agreed that in a first time it might be worth trying to run the analysis without the GTI level. END I thought a bit more about it, and this won't work Indeed, if we skip GTI, we use those from the SCW pipeline. What we need to have is a specific update to the LIM file that we would communicate to the Observer For the archive, we need a more clever solution... END Copenhagen, cold you tell us what HK parameters need to have their LIM changed and to which values? END > This discussion wil continue, I believe. I'll communicate your question to > Niels and Søren. END For the complete solution, I think we will wait until Søren comes to ISDC (in June, I think) END OK. Otherwise everything is running smoothly for JEM-X here, I guess. END We had a question for you, NJ: to which level are you sure that you are going to use the gain coefficients to calculate the ARFs? Is it already 100% sure? END > It has not been coded yet, but the plans are that it will be prepared for. > Obviously we need a way out if the information on gain is not available, > but otherwise it is 100% sure. END *** Signoff: stephane (Ping timeout) *** Signoff: jerome (Ping timeout) *** Signoff: silvia (Ping timeout) > We had a (so far) temporary black out END
