It seems I am not the only one to be late. END Yes indeed > Hello there! Let's hope some more people turn up! END > Jerome is on paternity leave with his very adorable little baby, Philip END Can you - nicely - kick some at the Space Center? NED > consider them kicked! END *** njw (~njw@130.226.216.2) has joined channel #jemxadr Hi all, sorry I was too deeply in the mysteries of mosaicking END > Of all the bad excuses, NJW! END > Okay, the major agenda item is: agenda for Madrid. Sorry I won't be with > you, but I can't leave a half-blind man to look after two children END What has Peter done? END > NJW will you kick off the proceedings? END > Peter had a detached retina (a hereditary problem in his family) which was > operated on last week - he's only just been allowed to stand up again. END I hope you've all got the first draft for the agenda. I'll add times after this chat and when I know when the best lunch time is. Any input to the agenda ?? END A good lunchtime is 12:45, before the main crowd. A bit early for Spanish standards (the canteen opens at 12:30). END Dinner will be quite late (still have to organize that), so we could work relatively long on Monday. END If we have an agenda with times by tomorrow morning, we may not only get coffee served but possibly even cookies. END * njw Alright - that's an incentive END > I vote for cookies and coffee on your behalf. END From the contents, I think most is covered. Maybe we should add an item to draw up a specific list of validation tasks (not too many) that will actually be done! END Good point, Peter. That should be included although our efforts up till now haven't been very systematic. But that makes the agenda item even more important. END > I should be able to contribute (remotely) some information about the > misalignment matrix and how much the new matrix REALLY improves our source > location results (or not) END We ought to set up the test environment for these validations as soon as possible. END True, but who can do that ? END _Possibly_ I can do something next week. Btw, I haven't seen any notice of the iros and mosaic tools being delivered yet. END That was one point we discussed at my ISDC visit. OSA 5.o sw deadline they said was end of March and new components they would like to have earlier. What is you time scale for delivery of the mosaicing tools. END NJ are you still deep into mosaicing? END The mosaic tool has been delivered unofficially at least to Roland Walter but I believe that you've also got Jerome's mai. Regarding datastructures of combined JEMX1 and 2 data? END The IROS tool runs on our Linux machine , but when I tried to run it at ISDC on the Sun machines I got a bus error. Niels is doing some extra updates that should be included. END The problem is that Jerome is on his paternal leave, but we'll try to deliver what exists now. I hope that j_ima_iros can be delivered shortly after our SDAST meeting. There is no progress on datastructures on combined JEMX1 and 2 data. ISDC said it is better for them if they get an early delivery It seems that to do that we must be completely off-line. END even if that means an update soon after. Regarding combined JEMX1 and JEMX2 data struct. The suggestion from ISDC was to put them under JEMX1. END Hmm, I have to think about how that could be organized END For j_src_lc/spectra I now have version including collimator tilt. I am just now running a set of flux estimates with different tilts to see what influence it has. Right now I am on rev 170 Crab obs. END That's very good, Stefan. It could give a third opinion on the direction and size of the tilt. You are aware of the discussion between Carl and Niels. END Yes (about Carl vs NL) END * njw Do you tamper with the IMOD-GRP in order to change the tilt ? END I dont have to change the IMOD since I have a new diagnosticMode where the parameter defines different tilt angle and direction. I simply run the analysis with different parameter values. END OK, makes life easier END These versions I can make an unofficial delivery of this week. (for test). END Good! END BUT: They need the new imod (with coll tilt). END I'll try to deliver new IMOD groups as soon as the templates that I've submitted have been approved (templates for new JMXi-COLL-MOD + for IROS) END One important part of testing will be to compute new responses. END I agree END More on these new/updated components ? END N > Well that all sounds as if we're moving along, albeit more slowly than > expected - as usual! END > Any more on OSA 5.0 delivery status? END N N > What about the AI list? What about AI30_19, Peter. Have you written that > SCREW? END No - remember it's now due in June (and won't be for OSA5). > Okay, any other AI activity? Otherwise, I think we'll call it a day. END But I realized there is an open AI30_2 for ahich I hardly rememmber the details, maybe we can discuss this at the meeting with Stephane. > Sounds like a good idea. END > If there's no more comments, I'll wish you all a good trip to Spain and No closed AIs from my side. So is there any more business ? END I will also supply Niels with driving instructions in Valencia. END > a productive meeting, and chat with you again in 2 weeks time, that March Has the hotel been booked ? END > 23rd at 11.00 END Yes, it has been booked. END Thanks > Have a good meeting everyone, and don't do anything I wouldn't!END
